Sports Jeopardy Recap – February 24, 2016

Remember, you can watch this and other Sports Jeopardy episodes at!

So, Jay Sullivan defeated Vinny Varadarajan last week. How will he do in his title defense?

Today’s contestants:

Bev Narinesingh, an executive director from Miramar, FL
Abe Gordon, a sports radio producer from Cleveland, OH
Jay Sullivan, a bartender originally from Salem, MA (1-day total: $5,000)

In case anyone’s wondering, I am angling for March 28th for the next Sports Jeopardy edition of #JeopardyLivePanel!

This game felt a great deal closer than the scores indicated with both Abe and Bev having great runs! But, Jay did go 4/4 in NICE JOB THERE, PATRICK and 3/4 in DE NIRO MOVIES, NFL GROUP NICKNAMES, and CLUBBING SPORTS.

Also, the “Jeopardy Curse” strikes, as there was a clue referring to David Blatt as Cavaliers coach.

Scores going into Final Jeopardy:
Jay 16,500
Abe 9,250
Bev 8,500

Final Jeopardy! category: NFL STARS

Final Jeopardy! clue: This NFL player appeared on a 2015 Sports Illustrated cover with the caption “One Man Is An Island”

Who is Darrelle Revis?

Bev 8500 + 8400 = 16900
Abe 9250 + 9250 = 18500
Jay 16500 + 2001 = 18501 (2-day total: $10,000)

I’m looking forward to seeing Jay next Wednesday, on Crackle!
