Quick Recap & Today’s Final Jeopardy – June 10, 2016

Yes, one of today’s contestants is Canadian. No, Canadians aren’t banned. Here’s why.

Today’s contestants:

Anna Kata, a graduate student in public health from Hamilton, ON
Rick Doyon, a higher education administrator from Somerville, MA
Hunter Appler, an attorney from Mount Airy, NC (2-day total: $44,601)

It must have disappointed Anna greatly to see a CANADIANA category on Monday’s game!

How do you feel about contestants who hop around the board looking for Daily Doubles?

From In the Shadow of the Moon: A Challenging Journey to Tranquility, 1965-1969:

As Armstrong has said many times in recent years in public speeches, “Pilots take no special joy in walking: pilots like flying. Pilots generally take pride in a good landing, not in getting out of the vehicle.” The line generally gets a big laugh, but it is accurate, and also underscores an important point. Aldrin and Armstrong landed together, working as a team, and the achievement belongs to them both.

In any case, this is Hunter’s third win, and you’ll find him on our ToC list in the morning!
