Who would win the following matchup?

ABBA, consisting of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, first caught the world’s attention when they won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their performance of “Waterloo”. They later had numerous hits around the world with songs such as “Dancing Queen”, “Take a Chance on Me”, “Mamma Mia”, and “Fernando”.

ZZ Top, consisting of Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and the (beardless) Frank Beard, were formed in Houston in 1969. Their 1983 album “Eliminator” sold more than 10 million copies and are one of America’s seminal blues-rock groups. Their best-known songs include “La Grange”, “Tush”, “Sharp Dressed Man”, and “Legs”.

I’m going to be ruing my miss on this Final for at least a bit of the weekend.

7:27 pm: ZZ Top, obviously. ABBA, yeah, sounds good… wait, didn’t they only have one hit? AC/DC? Yep, I’m making the change.
7:32 pm: Well, ABBA did have enough hits to fill out a musical…

Another stat of note: this is only the third week this season (excluding the three weeks of tournament quarterfinals) in which all 305 clues were played. The week of April 11 went without hearing an end-of-round signal, as did the second week of the ToC.

We all miss some of them! (I missed yesterday’s. Didn’t have the foggiest idea.)

    Corrigans know everything.
