Here’s tonight’s Final Jeopardy for Tuesday, October 18, 2016:
Final Jeopardy! category: FUNNYMEN
Final Jeopardy! clue: He’s won 4 Emmys, 3 Grammys, an Oscar & 3 Tonys, & 3 of his films rank on AFI’s list of Funniest Movies of All Time
(correct response beneath the contestants)
|Anne Exler, a librarian from Underhill, Vermont
||Jeremy Zarowitz, an energy trader from Oak Park, California
||Shannon Dillmore, a genomics research manager from Raleigh, North Carolina (1-day total: $20,631)
Who is Mel Brooks?
I bet Mel Brooks will be absolutely tickled to be the subject of this Final Jeopardy! as he’s been a huge fan of the show for a very long time. The 2000th episode of the original NBC network run of Jeopardy! had Mel Brooks appear, in character, as the 2000 Year Old Man! I can’t find it on YouTube today, but footage definitely exists.
Instead, here’s footage of a 2014 category:
The three films from AFI’s list? Blazing Saddles (#6), The Producers (#11), and Young Frankenstein (#13).
|Alex & Johnny & Sarah & Kelly & Jimmy!||Trebek/Gilbert 16 (Support the #Jeoparty this year!)|
