It’s now official; Mike Richards is replacing Harry Friedman.
As reported by Deadline earlier today, Mike Richards is going to become the Executive Producer of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
Richards is one of the preeminent game show producers, having served as executive producer of The Price is Right for eleven years. He also hosted the 2012 revival of Pyramid.
Harry Friedman joined Jeopardy! in 1997; his best-known change to the show is removing the five-game limit on the number of episodes a champion could appear in 2003, directly leading to the runs of Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer. During his career, Friedman set a record for the most Emmy Award wins for a game show producer with 14.
