It was Matt who played the first Daily Double, under GEOGRAPHIC AKAs $800, on the 10th clue of the game! The scores were:

Matt bet $1,000. His clue: Old maps used “Natolia” to denote the eastern part of what’s now this country. Matt took awhile, but came up with the correct response! His score went to $2,000.

As we moved through the Jeopardy! round, it felt as though we saw Mona less and less ringing in, and Matt and Adam ringing in more and more.

Mona bet $2,000. Her clue: The modern guide dog movement began in this country with WWI veterans being shepherded around. “Shepherded” was a big clue, and Mona picked up on it to move to $4,800!
MUSICIAN MOVIE SUBJECTS $1600 was a Triple Stumper: 2011: “Never Say Never”. I got that one…
Next up (WAR OF 1812 $800): On April 27, 1813 American forces captured York, the capital of Upper Canada; today York is known by this name. Responses of Ottawa and Montreal disappointed me greatly.
