Stephanie did quite well for herself, getting the bottom three in FIRST NAME FILL-IN — a category giving a picture and a punning last name which fit the first name definition (Jack Knife, Fanny Pack, Terry Cloth, Billy Club, and Peg Board), meaning that I had to remind myself that I must refrain from making jokes and remain professional while blogging!
Following that, Stephanie went to THE 1912 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, where she found the Daily Double (a dreaded video) under the $600 clue. Scores:

Saying “it is not going to be all”, her bet was $1,000, and her clue was the following: Theodore Roosevelt used this metaphor when announcing his run, hence the button seen here. Her correct response put her at $4,400. That also put the show to its first break of the night!
Stephanie is easily the most bubbly contestant that the show has had on in awhile. The way she describes riding in a commercial dryer, it makes one almost want to do it themselves! (Though most of North America, I must admit, probably is also asking the same question Alex did: Why?)
Not entirely sure why the Jeopardy! writers put clues about “nostalgia” and “soulmate” back to back. I’m sure many broken-hearted watchers were wanting to throw things at their TV screens during the back half of the round there!
Stephanie continued her buzzer mojo, but Mike did well to try to get to as many high-valued clues as possible, even at this point in the game. We still left 3 on the board at the end of the Jeopardy! round, though. Scores at the midway point:

The DJ! round saw Stephanie and Mike trading correct answers in a great battle. NEW ENGLAND FOLIAGE saw some applause for Stephanie at the bottom of it as well. Even more applause came Stephanie’s way a few clues later when she saw the Daily Double at SIBLINGS $1,200. Scores:

Alex’s goading of Stephanie into trying to get Stephanie to bet everything led to a “You are the devil, Alex Trebek” and a bet of $1,600. Her clue: At the Royal Wedding of William & Kate, these 2 younger siblings served as Best Man & Maid of Honor. Impressively, Stephanie was able to name them both, meaning that her score went to $24,000.
I wish that Mike had started to go Daily Double hunting at this point. Unfortunately, going top-to-bottom through AVIATION, switching to AROUND THE WORLD midway, led to Stephanie seeing the third and final Daily Double as well! She already started wagging her finger towards Alex, as if to keep him from trying to badger her! Scores:

Her bet: $2,000. Her clue: Following Russia & China, which each border 14 other countries, this New World country is third with 10. I’ve used something similar to this as the subject of a Final Question at Squirrel’s at some point, so I found it really easy. Stephanie struggled with it, and came up with an incorrect answer.
