Correct response: Who is Muhammad Ali?

When famous boxer Muhammad Ali died in 2016, the pallbearers at his 2016 Louisville funeral included former heavyweight champions Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson, as well as Will Smith, who portrayed Ali in the 2001 biopic Ali. (I have always had trouble spelling Ali’s first name here at The Jeopardy! Fan as I remember the ’90s Sports Jeopardy! PC game not spelling it correctly, and of course, I’ve struggled with the spelling for the last 25 plus years. If I remember correctly, it was spelled Muhamad in the game for some reason.)

Andy’s Thoughts:
- Phillip’s individual Daily Double efficiency of -267 equals Peter Guekguezian’s -267 from June 19, 2017 (the game which inspired the Daily Double Efficiency statistic’s calculation in the first place) as the lowest in my data set (dating back to October 4, 2004.).

Two themes continue: 1) No one has won more than two games since the return; 2) Sports questions seem to particularly stump contestants of late (Mickelson FJ, Yankee Stadium category last week, now Ali with two of three missing FJ).
Yeah, I am surprised this was not solved by all three. Fan or not. Ali was more than just a boxer. In jail for not going to Nam, later own his charities and sadly his illness. One would think he was often enough on the news.
And especially Lewis was not an “unknown” either”. Should have been the pointer, PLUS the year….How soon we forget!
I am also surprised that all 3 DDs were missed….
on his charities…
If you had told me that today’s Final was a solo solve and asked me which contestant got it right, I don’t think I’d have picked Melissa. 🙂 It’s a shame she didn’t have enough money before Final to turn it into a win.
I thought the same thing Art. Just goes to show you never know what somebody knows. Maybe Melissa channeled her inner Joyce Brothers.
The 200 clue i J! should have read “central roomS’, not room, since “atria is plural and atrium is singular in Latin, and since the correct answer was “atria”….
Many affiliates including WBZ-TV in Boston preempted tonight’s episode for an NFL football game which had been postponed yesterday because of someone being tested positive for covid-19.
