Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:

The opening game of this year’s Masters event is a near-rematch of last year’s final, between Victoria Groce, Yogesh Raut, and Brad Rutter. Tonight marks Brad’s first game on the Alex Trebek Stage in over five years, and I’m sure he very much wants to prove that his third-place finish in the Greatest of All Time tournament was a fluke. Meanwhile, Victoria and Yogesh will certainly want to show that things are not going to be easy for Brad.

Most of these games will likely come down to the four major betting clues—the three Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy.

  1. I knew that a Final Jeopardy on Masters wouldn’t be comparatively easy to say a Final Jeopardy on an episoede of daily, syndicated, Jeopardy. I had no frame of reference to even make a guess on this Final. The three players in this prelimary round evidently DID have a frame of reference, though two were wrong.
