Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:

We have a new champion on Jeopardy!—and it’s Welsh hotel receptionist Ben Jones, who unseated 7-time champion Dan Afshar and won £6,000 on yesterday’s show. Today, he defends his title for the first time against Barnsley’s Rob Baidoo and North Ayrshire’s Erin Thomson. (It’s nice to have much greater representation of the United Kingdom on today’s episode.)

  1. I had never really paid attention so I just went through the three primary colours, discarding red as too eye-catching (distracting from those following), then thinking yellow and went with it due to being sort of like a gold medal even though I did wonder about it being a bit pale to be the first ring — I should have gone on to think of blue as being the best choice (as being in between red and yellow for being eye-catching).

[I wonder if my analysis could possibly actually be how the first colour was chosen. Probably not as there was no reason why it would have to be a primary colour.]

    Finally catching up!
I went with yellow too. In retrospect, not sure I read the clue carefully enough.

I do hope Ben’s nan has fully recovered since the time of recording,
