Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category French Landmarks) for Monday, December 22, 2025 (Season 42, Game 76):
Secularized during the Revolution, this Latin Quarter bldg. has a porch of columns & triangular pediment modeled on an ancient building
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Jasmine Zhou, an ASIC engineer from Woodland, California
|
Guy Branum, a writer & comedian from West Hollywood, California
|
Rachael Gray, a graduate student from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
|
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Today begins a new week of Second Chance play; our players today are Rachael Gray, Guy Branum, and Jasmine Zhou. I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong here on this part of the preview, but as far as I’m aware, contestants this week probably wouldn’t have known how difficult the Final Jeopardy clues were for most of last week; thus, I can’t see any strategic changes being made as a result of this.
You might also notice that today’s game has two posts: this post, with the information that I think that 90% of my readership is interested in (chiefly, a quick “Who won tonight?” after they’ve been interrupted during the show) as well as a new “Daily Details” post behind a login wall. All comments as well will be behind the “Daily Details”—this will hopefully allow for better caching of the main results post and less strain on the resources needed to host this website.

Modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, the Panthéon in Paris, France was built in the 18th century for Louis XV; he wanted a church dedicated to Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of the city. However, as France went secular in the French Revolution, it turned into a national mausoleum of the country’s distinguished citizens.
I’m guessing that today’s Final Jeopardy returns matters to normal, though, in terms of difficulty—at least if this specific Final Jeopardy is to be believed. (Or, maybe this is the one easy one and we’re going to have a really interesting rest of the week. Who knows?)
In order to redesign our merchandise area to serve you better in 2026, all merchandise sales have been temporarily taken offline. Look for a return in early 2026! All previous orders will still be supported.

Game Recap:
The Daily Doubles giveth and the Daily Doubles taketh away. Unfortunately for Jasmine, she fell back to $0 twice after going for a True Daily Double twice in Double Jeopardy—but amazingly, she played well enough on the other clues in the game that while she was in third, she was still in contention entering Final Jeopardy. Guy Branum led for most of this one, though, and he cemented his victory with a correct response in Final Jeopardy. He’ll be back Thursday and Friday in the week’s final.
Scores going into Final:
Guy $9,400
Rachael $8,600
Jasmine $4,800
Tonight’s results:
Jasmine $4,800 + $4,799 = $9,599 (What pantheon)
Rachael $8,600 – $7,000 = $1,600 (What is ?)
Guy $9,400 + $7,801 = $17,201 (What is The Pantheon?) (Finalist)

Chances of winning Second Chance:
Guy Branum 27.403%
Bob Callen 11.304%
Molly Murray 15.935%
Michelle Tsai 10.000%
Aaron Himmel 8.884%
Andrew Wang 16.917%
Melanie Hirsch 9.557%
Andy’s Thoughts:
- With regard to “HOT” LINES $200, the rules of the show when it comes specifically song titles is that an “overfull” song title is still ruled correct as long as it contains a perfectly correct lyric from the song that includes the title, which explains why Guy’s response of “What is ‘It’s Getting Hot In Herre’?” was accepted.
- Today’s J!6 clues can be found at the monthly archive.
Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:
(Scores: Guy $9,400 Rachael $8,600 Jasmine $4,800)
Rachael: I would make a small bet here—at least $1,001 to cover Jasmine, but probably $1,601, just in case Guy goes conservative. (Actual bet: $7,000)
Guy: Standard cover bet is $7,801. (Actual bet: $7,801)
Jasmine: I would bet between $2,801 and $3,199 (passing Rachael if she makes a cover bet against you on the low end, and staying ahead of Guy’s cover bet on the high end. (Actual bet: $4,799)
