Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Saints) for Friday, February 13, 2026 (Season 42, Game 115):
Mentioned several times in a 1599 play, this patron saint of cobblers had a feast day that coincided with the Battle of Agincourt
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Drew Basile, a writer from Birmingham, Michigan
|
Jen Giles, a teacher from Longmont, Colorado
|
Roger Craig, an applied scientist originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania
|
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
As Season 42 reaches the 50% mark, the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament begins the semifinal round today with a matchup between Roger Craig, Jen Giles, and Drew Basile. My predictions do have Roger as the favorite entering this one, but we all know that the variance in modern Jeopardy! means that anything can happen once Johnny Gilbert says his famous opening narration.
I do also wonder how much more conservative the players are going to be in the semifinals now that they’ve probably experienced how difficult the quarterfinals were.
For those fans who watch on an NBC-affiliated local station and are still wondering where the show might have moved to because of Olympic coverage on NBC, check your local listings (or Matt Carberry’s Google sheet.)

St. Crispin, martyred along with his twin Crispinian in 286, is best known today because of his feast day on October 25; many battles throughout history, including Leyte Gulf, Balaclava, and Agincourt, took place on that day. In Henry V, Act IV, Scene 3, Henry V makes a famous speech referencing St. Crispin’s Day to rally his English troops on the eve of battle. The speech was successful in rousing his English troops to victory the next day in the battle.
Honestly, I am a fan of this Final Jeopardy clue at this level, it’s a more difficult Shakespeare/religion clue that is still eminently gettable by players in this tournament.

Game Recap:
Drew Basile had the best Round 1, while Roger Craig had the best Round 2, which gave Roger the lead entering Final Jeopardy.
In Final Jeopardy, Drew’s correct response and $0 wager put the pressure on Roger to be correct. Unfortunately for Survivor fans, Roger was correct, putting him through to the finals.
Scores going into Final:
Roger $18,400
Drew $14,000
Jen $4,800
Tonight’s results:
Jen $4,800 – $725 = $4,075 (Who is St. Swithin?)
Drew $14,000 + $0 = $14,000 (Who is Crispin?)
Roger $18,400 + $9,601 = $28,001 (Who is St. Crispin) (Finalist)

Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:
(Scores: Roger $18,400 Drew $14,000 Jen $4,800)
Roger: Standard cover bet today is $9,601. However: because the difference between yours and Drew’s score is identical to difference between Drew’s and double Jen’s score, you should give serious thought to a bet of $0. (This is the famous “Faith Love” wagering scenario.) (Actual bet: $9,601)
Jen: You have to bet at least $4,000 to have any chance of victory whatsoever. However, because there’s a reasonable chance because of the scores of Drew betting $4,400 or even $4,401, you should probably go all in here. (Actual bet: $725)
Drew: You’re in an interesting spot here. If you think Roger will ignore (either accidentally or wilfully) the special betting scenario, you’re safe to limit your bet to $4,399. You could also bet $4,400 exactly, playing for a possible tiebreaker in both directions. Or, a bet between $4,401 and $5,200, while it lets Jen back into contention, still wins the Triple Stumper, while also defending against the distinct possibility that Roger will bet $0. (Actual bet: $0)
