Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Films of the 1990s) for Wednesday, May 13, 2026 (Season 42, Game 178):
In French, this 1993 film is called “Un Jour Sans Fin”
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Kyle Li, a software engineer from Saratoga, California
|
Bridget Palmer, a university teacher originally from Beaverton, Oregon
|
Tristan Williams, a data scientist originally from Lincoln, Nebraska (5-day total: $103,499)
|
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Yesterday, Tristan Williams picked up another runaway victory in taking his fifth win; today, he goes for win #6 against Bridget Palmer and Kyle Li.
Today in the Jeopardy!-verse, we also have Season 2, Episode 3 of Pop Culture Jeopardy!, as well as the second semifinal of Celebrity Jeopardy! All-Stars between W. Kamau Bell, Steven Weber, and Sean Gunn. The game airs on ABC at 8/7 Central; Canadian viewers should check their local listings as the Canadian air time on CTV depends on your time zone.
One other thing that I have certainly noticed over the past few days: in spite of Tristan having more runaways (4) than Jamie Ding (3) over Tristan’s first five games, the fanbase is somehow much quieter about how they feel about runaway games. It’s almost as if it has nothing to do with runaways in the first place, and these fans were just looking for an excuse to complain about Jamie being an immigrant, while Tristan is not. (And to those fans about to get mad at me for making this about race? Well, this 100% is about race.)

Because it was essentially a “never ending day”, 1993’s Groundhog Day received the title “Un Jour Sans Fin” in France, as “Groundhog Day” is not generally observed in that country.
This feels like a relatively straightforward Final Jeopardy clue, as long as one is familiar with the film and can make a general literal translation to “A Day Without End”.

Game Recap:
Missing both Daily Doubles in Double Jeopardy didn’t keep Tristan from picking up a dominant runaway victory in this one; 27 correct responses in the game certainly helped with that.
Tristan lost $10,000 on his incorrect response in Final Jeopardy, but is still a 6-day champion and will go for win #7 tomorrow.
Scores going into Final:
Tristan $20,200
Bridget $4,000
Kyle -$2,200
