Today, he goes for victory #7 against a pair of Californians in Kyla Wall-Polin from Petaluma and Carlos Cea from San Francisco.
World Cup pre-emptions on FOX are ongoing, with a dozen markets affected and Nashville and New Orleans viewers relegated to having to watch Hulu and Peacock. Matt Carberry’s Google sheet has the details; the other notable change is that KVHP in Lake Charles, Louisiana plans on airing the show at 9:30 AM CT this week; thus, results will very likely be posted an hour and a half earlier than usual.

With the murals now located at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, the mural Goose Laying Golden Eggs was found in Panjikent, Tajikistan (just east of the important Silk Road city of Samarkand). The mural, depicting the Aesop fable of similar title, was found in the 20th century by Soviet archaeologists, and has since been cited as evidence that the fables travelled east from Constantinople.
I didn’t realize that mural existed; so, I left today’s Final Jeopardy happy that I had learned something, and I hope other viewers get that same experience today.
