Today’s Final Jeopardy – Friday, June 26, 2026

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the June 26, 2026, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category U.S. Landmarks) for Friday, June 26, 2026 (Season 42, Game 210):

Norwegian Arne Peterssen was the last to pass through this location, which was then officially closed in 1954

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Clay Stallworth, a pediatrician from Augusta, Georgia
Clay Stallworth on Jeopardy!
Kristin Warner, an attorney from Fairport, New York
Kristin Warner on Jeopardy!
Adam Remsen, an attorney & theater producer from Memphis, Tennessee (10-day total: $228,806)
Adam Rensen on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Yesterday, Adam Remsen became the 22nd superchampion in the history of Jeopardy!. With 17 of those 22 have come in the last 10 years, 13 of them in the last 5, and 5 in the last twelve months, the show is absolutely in its superchamp era. In fact, it’s in its superchamp era so much that the ToC tracker here on this website only gives Adam a 50-50 chance at the moment in holding on to a top 3 seed. He does get to keep going until he loses, though, and today he faces off in his 11th game against Fairport, NY attorney Kristin Warner and Augusta, Georgia pediatrician Clay Stallworth.

I suspect that after a recent Reddit thread about contestants who ended up taking jobs with the show, we’ll see clickbait articles about the thread with significant errata, thanks to contributors flat-out misremembering names and details and/or significant omissions. (This is also a warning to any writers in the space that the information in that thread is generally not correct and that it should not be used for the basis of any articles, and I would go as far as to say that the entire thread is so littered with errors that the entire thing may well be in violation of that subreddit’s rules regarding “patently false information”.)

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

New York’s Ellis Island was one of the main hubs for immigrant entry into the United States between 1892 and 1924; following the passage of the Immigration Act of 1924 and the enactment of strict immigration quotas, it turned into a detention/deportation center for the next 30 years. Arne Petterson, who had been detained there following an overstay of his shore leave, was the final person released prior to the closing of the island. In 1990, island was reopened as a museum to immigration.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t remember the last time we’ve had this many relatively straightforward Final Jeopardy clues in a week. (At least for me.) That said, I am very much in favor of straightforward clues from time to time—not only does it make the viewing audience feel good about themselves, it also keeps the Final Jeopardy wagering honest.
