Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category U.S. Demography) for Thursday, June 4, 2026 (Season 42, Game 194):

The United States’ 3 most densely populated municipalities lie along a 3.5-mile stretch of Palisade Ave. in this state

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Susan Moskop, a retired arts administrator & actress from Memphis, Tennessee
Susan Moskop on Jeopardy!
Webster Guan, a biotech data scientist from Cambridge, Massachusetts
Webster Guan on Jeopardy!
Peter McFerrin, an energy industry professional from Corona, California (3-day total: $74,197)
Peter McFerrin on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Regardless of what happens from here on out, with three victories Peter McFerrin will be making a return trip to the Alex Trebek Stage, whether that is as part of the Tournament of Champions or as a part of Champions Wildcard. Will he get to a fourth or a fifth victory, though? Today’s challengers in Webster Guan of the Boston area and Susan Moskop of Memphis will want to stop him.

The three most densely populated municipalities in the United States are Guttenberg, New Jersey, Union City, New Jersey, and West New York, New Jersey, all located upon the New Jersey Palisades overlooking the Hudson River just west of New York City. All three are densely populated as they house a number of people who will cross the Hudson to commute into New York City itself.

To me, the biggest clue here was Palisade Ave.—that was enough for me to remember Freddy Cannon’s 1962 hit song “Palisades Park”, remembering it was in New Jersey, getting me to the correct response.

Game Recap:

Things looked bleak for Peter McFerrin in this one after he missed a Daily Double and Webster Guan doubled up through his, giving Webster the lead entering Final Jeopardy.

But, Peter was the only player correct in Final Jeopardy, and that makes him a 4-time champion. He’ll go for win #5 tomorrow.

Scores going into Final:

Webster $13,600
Peter $11,400
Susan $7,200

Tonight’s results:

Susan $7,200 – $6,401 = $799 (What is New York?)
Peter $11,400 + $11,400 = $22,800 (What is New Jersey?) (4-day total: $96,997)
Webster $13,600 – $4,400 = $9,200 (What’s Florida)
