Warning: This page contains spoilers for the April 30, 2025, first game of Jeopardy! Masters — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. It will be updated alongside the Eastern Time airing of the show, beginning at about 9:00 PM Eastern.
This game’s Jeopardy! Masters contestants:
Brad Rutter, an actor & producer from Los Angeles, California (21-5, 0 points)
Yogesh Raut, an educational blogger, podcast host & writer originally from Springfield, Illinois (12-10, 0 points)
Victoria Groce, a writer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (12-5, 0 points)
Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:
The opening game of this year’s Masters event is a near-rematch of last year’s final, between Victoria Groce, Yogesh Raut, and Brad Rutter. Tonight marks Brad’s first game on the Alex Trebek Stage in over five years, and I’m sure he very much wants to prove that his third-place finish in the Greatest of All Time tournament was a fluke. Meanwhile, Victoria and Yogesh will certainly want to show that things are not going to be easy for Brad.
Most of these games will likely come down to the four major betting clues—the three Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy.
