Today’s contestants:

Helen Bolt, a mental health nurse from Birmingham

Archi Campbell, a lawyer from Greenwich, London (1-day total: £4,800)

Archi Campbell on Jeopardy! UK

Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:

Today is the final game of this series of Jeopardy! episodes in the United Kingdom. After Dean Strachan’s maths error yesterday, Archi Campbell enters this game as a one-day champion, facing off against Junaid Alvi and Helen Bolt. One thing I found interesting about today’s game: listings made reference to a “series title”—please don’t ask me what that means, I am not connected with production—it could mean that the show plans on retiring whoever wins this game and not bring them back if a Series 2 is commissioned (though I certainly wouldn’t recommend that—fans absolutely would expect that sort of continuity as it happens in the United States). Certainly whoever wins this game will win the cash (in addition to the £4,800 that Archi won yesterday, which he also takes home regardless.)

Now, will there be a Series 2? Fans certainly hope so. The discussion that I am hearing from my insider sources are that this show might be a better fit at 3:00 instead of 4:00 on ITV—I know I’d certainly be happier covering this show at 3:00 and I think my overall coverage would improve if it was a 3:00 show.

Another reminder that I have started a Sunday mailbag column where I answer fan & viewer questions regarding the show. If you have a question, feel free to send it to mailbag@thejeopardyfan.com!
