Warning: This page may contain spoilers for the March 26, 2025 game of Jeopardy! UK, especially for those of you watching delayed or on-demand. This page will be updated during each commercial break as the show airs.
Today’s contestants:
Shanine Salmon, a development manager from Croydon
Jim Eccleson, a retired insurance broker from Birkenhead
Abby Hallett, an alumni relations officer from Berkshire (3-day total: £8,150)
Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:
Today on UK Jeopardy!, we have 3-day champion Abby Hallett taking on Birkenhead’s Jim Eccleson and Croydon’s Shanine Salmon. Shanine has become well-known to American quizzers over the past few years, having participated in Online Quiz League competitions in both England and North America. One thing that Abby will have an advantage on, though: the signaling device—and that has been a strength for Abby thus far. She’s gotten in first on over 40% of all buzzer clues asked throughout her run. That being said, the fact that there are 44 more buzzer clues in a Series 2 UK match compared to a standard American one means that challengers do have more of an opportunity to get the buzzer timing down, and I do think that will make it more difficult for challengers to get an extended run together. We’ll see what happens today, though!

Jim £1,425 + £1,425 = £2,850 (What is arsenic)
Shanine £2,400 + £400 = £2,800 (What is arsenic)

Andy’s Thoughts:
- One thing I’ve noticed is that the British judges have made calls that wouldn’t be made the same way in America, likely through not realizing some of the minor-but-important rules nuances of the American version.
Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:
(Scores: Abby £4,375 Shanine £2,400 Jim £1,425)
Abby: Standard cover bet is £426. (Actual bet: £450)
Jim: You need an overbet from Abby to have any chance. Bet whatever you’d like. (Actual bet: £1,425)
Shanine: If Abby bets to cover and is incorrect, she falls to £3,949. You have to bet at least £1,550 to have any chance of victory. (Actual bet: £400)
