Here’s tonight’s Final Jeopardy answer and question for Wednesday, November 30, 2016:

Final Jeopardy! category: ENTERTAINMENT AWARD WINNERS

Final Jeopardy! clue/answer: She won a comedy Grammy in the 1980s, a Supporting Actress Oscar in the 1990s & a Daytime Emmy in the 2000s

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s contestants:

Vicki Kelly, a biologist from Newark, Delaware

wk12_1128_1202_kelly_lineup

Michael Malyszko, a commercial photographer from Boston, Massachusetts

wk12_1128_1202_malyszko_lineup

Justin Bender, an technical engineer from Boulder, Colorado (3-day total: $40,800)

wk11_1121_1125_bender_lineup

Newark, Delaware has had quite its share with regards to Jeopardy! as of late. Earl Holland has been on quite a roll on Sports Jeopardy! recently, reaching octochamp status!

Also, Justin Bender finds himself on Page 2 of our ToC Tracker at the moment. Will he improve his chances with a fourth win?

Results will go up on the main page late afternoon, with full stats early evening. They will be seen in the comments section at the bottom of the main page.

The awards referred to in the clue:

The Grammy was in 1986 for Best Comedy Recording for the album “Whoopi Goldberg Original Broadway Show Record”.

The Oscar was for “Ghost”.

The Daytime Emmys were surprisingly not for “Hollywood Squares” (where she received many nominations), but for producing “Beyond Tara: The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel” (Outstanding Special Class Special) and for Outstanding Talk Show Host (for “The View”).

Some things to note on this final day of November:

With regards to the STATE FLAGS category today, do you remember J! alumna Alexandra Petri’s Washington Post article where she makes fun of all 50 state flags?

Also, in case you weren’t aware, former NBC head Grant Tinker (who passed away this week) had quite a role in the early history of Jeopardy!
