Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Tristan Williams enters today’s game as an 8-time champion, just two wins away from becoming the 21st superchampion in the history of the show. Looking to stop him, though, are challengers Amy Dewey and Thomas Trovato.

Final Jeopardy! Category: American Architecture

Final Jeopardy! Clue: In the 1930s an automobile showroom occupied the first 2 floors of this building at 42nd & Lexington in Manhattan

In order to redesign our merchandise area to serve you better in 2026, all merchandise sales have been temporarily taken offline. Look for a return in late 2026! All previous orders will still be supported.

Correct response: What is the Chrysler Building?

More Information About Final Jeopardy!:

The art deco Chrysler Building, which competed for the title of World’s Tallest Building with 40 Wall Street and the Empire State building in New York City, housed the Chrysler Automobile Salon from 1936 until the 1960s, essentially it was a two-floor public exhibition of Chrysler vehicles in New York. While Walter Chrysler himself had an apartment in the building, and the Chrysler corporation had offices in the building over the years, the building was never designed to serve as the automaker’s headquarters, which stayed in Detroit.

To me, the reference to the showroom + Manhattan building is enough for this to be a straightforward road to the correct response.
