Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Sarah McCleskey, an academic librarian from Astoria, New York
Nabil Rahman, a government employee originally from Queens, New York
Adam Remsen, an attorney & theater producer from Memphis, Tennessee (2-day total: $35,801)
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Adam Remsen has averaged 25 correct responses and just under 40 attempts a game, which has worked out well for him so far in picking up a pair of victories. Will that continue today, though, against Nabil Rahman of Queens and Sarah McCleskey of Astoria? I’m sure that the Facebook comment brigade will eventually be overly willing to share their opinions once this game is complete.

Correct response: Who is Hans Zimmer?
More Information About Final Jeopardy!:
Hans Zimmer is one of the biggest names in modern film scoring, winning Oscars for his scores of The Lion King and Dune, with his recent body of work including his choice to score the Harry Potter TV series. Frankly, this choice does not come as a surprise to me, considering that Zimmer is alleged to have created a hostile work environment for—and quickly fired—musician Lauren Bousfield as soon as she came out as transgender.
While Zimmer has not crossed the “Rowling Line” (explicitly saying that continued cultural relevance is de facto promotion of personal viewpoints) and I therefore do not object to his being the subject of a clue the way I object to the inclusion of J.K. Rowling’s works, I also think it is important to note what I have about him today.
