Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Shannon Crisenbery, a data annotator from St. Clair, Michigan
Jeremy Roberts, a technology analyst from Midhurst, Ontario, Canada
Madeline Kaplan, an editor originally from Toledo, Ohio (1-day total: $31,700)
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Picking up Daily Doubles on back-to-back clues propelled Madeline Kaplan into a lead she would not relinquish in yesterday’s battle on Jeopardy!; today, she goes for victory #2 against Jeremy Roberts of Midhurst, Ontario and Shannon Crisenbery of St. Clair, Michigan. Will we see a continuation of our short carousel of champions that has begun, or will Madeline get a second victory?

Correct response: Who is Céline Dion?
More Information About Final Jeopardy!:
Céline Dion has been one of the most recognizable French-Canadian musicians worldwide, who has been a musical superstar in both French and English since the 1980s. For those American fans who might only be familiar with her English-language repertoire, Céline, for much of her career, has alternated releasing French- and English-language albums, with a number of those French-language releases, including Encore Un Soir, Sans Attendre, D’Elles, Un Fille Et 4 Types, and S’il Suffisatt D’aimer, reaching #1 in Canada.
With a Canadian contestant today, I think a lot of people will expect this to go at least 1-for-3; it should also be noted that contestants and clue material are selected independently from each other—the writers don’t know who is going to be playing, and the contestant selection group doesn’t know the material.
