Correct response: What is The Taming of the Shrew?
More information about Final Jeopardy:
This speech comes from the final scene of The Taming of the Shrew; and is a part of “Such duty as the subject owes the prince, even such a woman oweth to her husband” speech. Lucentio, Petruchio, and Hortensio have placed a bet on who has the most obedient wife; Petruchio has just won the wager with Katherina (Kate). (No spoiler alert required; the play is 400 years old.)

Tournament of Champions projections:
With a projected 130 regular-play games to go prior to the Tournament of Champions cutoff, after 500,000 simulations, our model shows:
An average of 4.0665 5+-time champions (standard deviation 1.653).
An average of 7.254 4+-time champions (standard deviation 1.9972).
An early cutoff took place 7.463% of the time (or a 5-game winner will be left out).
Bif Reiser qualified 56.329% of the time.
Anneke Garcia qualified 76.861% of the time.
Dave Leffler qualified 55.529% of the time.
Jonathan Dinerstein qualified 29.061% of the time.
Alex Schmidt qualified 9.301% of the time.
John Presloid qualified 2.136% of the time.
Jackie Fuchs qualified 0.208% of the time.
Andy’s Thoughts:
Alex’s hometown area is going to be mad at the second Daily Double. Manitoulin Island near his hometown of Sudbury believes that the downstream side of Marajo Island in the Amazon is saline; however, the outflow of the Amazon is so large that the entire island is surrounded by fresh water.
- Effective in first on buzzer stats: Bif 41.67% (20/48), Rebecca 18.75% (9/48), Josh 39.58% (19/48).
- Bif dominated the back half of the Jeopardy! round; I need to specifically look at that segment of 15 clues to see how well the champion does during that part of the game.
