I also have a couple of thoughts about the categories today as I play J!6 every morning on the Jeopardy! website before writing this preview. First of all, I absolutely loved the sixth clue in THAT’S GOT 2 HYPHENS; there are certainly some people in this community who need to be reminded about what that clue is. (If you know, you know.) Secondly, and more pertinently to game play, I’m sure Vince is going to feel as though he hit the jackpot with a CANADIAN GEOGRAPHY category in Double Jeopardy. (And as I always say, contestants and game boards are chosen randomly and independently of each other, the people picking the boards have no idea who the contestants are and vice versa; it’s simple “luck of the draw” and is the overall fairest way for the show to operate.)

Correct response: What is Cat on a Hot Tin Roof?

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a famous Tennessee Williams play, set in the Mississippi Delta area, specifically in the plantation home of cotton tycoon Big Daddy Pollitt. The play focuses on the relationships in Pollitt’s family, including his son Brick and Brick’s wife, Maggie (the Cat).
The 1955 review was from the New York Times review of the original Broadway production, which controversially won the Pulitzer for Drama that year over Clifford Odets’ The Flowering Peach. At the Tonys, Barbara Bel Geddes (who TV audiences may remember for portraying Miss Ellie on Dallas for many years) was nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her role as Maggie.
