Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Juveria Zaheer dominated the Double Jeopardy Round yesterday to have a big lead, but a Final Jeopardy where only Andy Tirrell was correct brought Juveria back to the field and put Andy in second place! Michael Menkhus, in third after getting Final Jeopardy incorrect and betting everything, has his work cut out for him at this point. However, he has had a very strong time on the buzzer this event, so a comeback isn’t out of the question! One thing to keep in mind that because yesterday’s scores are locked in and can’t be bet today (while today’s can), Juveria has an “effective lead” of $2,600 over Andy and $10,000 over Michael. If either of those players aren’t that far ahead of Juveria going into Final Jeopardy, Juveria will have the advantage going into Final.

Then, at 8 PM Eastern on TuneIn’s Jeopardy Radio channel, the second Champions Wildcard group kicks off with Play-In Game #3. Make sure to tune in for that!

Introduced in 1979 to replace the Bell UH-1 Iroquois as the US Army’s transport helicopter, the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk has featured prominently in US military operations since. The helicopter also gives its name to the 2001 Ridley Scott film Black Hawk Down, about the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu in which the helicopters featured prominently.

As with all US army helicopters, given Native American names, this was named after the famed Sauk leader who fought unsuccessfully to keep American settlers away from Sauk territory.

The helicopter also featured prominently in the 2011 operation to kill Osama Bin Laden; for that operation, a quieter version of the helicopter that was able to evade Pakistani detection was commissioned.
