Correct response: What is Moana?
More information about Final Jeopardy:
Moana, the 2016 Disney animated film, was dubbed into Tahitian for a few reasons: firstly, the film itself was set in Polynesia; secondly, story consultant Hinano Murphy (who had provided the Moana filmmaking team with significant cultural advice) felt that the dubbing would help excite the Tahitian community about its native language and that the dubbed version might become a teaching tool. Many members of the English voice cast were of Polynesian descent, including Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Nicole Scherzinger, and Troy Polamalu.
Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, nearly $500 has been raised.)
In order to redesign our merchandise area to serve you better in 2026, all merchandise sales have been temporarily taken offline. Look for a return in late 2026! All previous orders will still be supported.

Andy’s Thoughts:
It’s interesting to see the viewpoints about the Jeopardy! buzzer from people who aren’t as familiar with it. Mahesh’s daughter, , in an article, described her father’s performance as having “struggled” with it, but the stats don’t seem to bear that out.
- Something that’s not discussed a lot when it comes to Jeopardy! is the curse of knowledge, where a contestant with a large amount of knowledge in a certain area has too many thoughts going around in their head, and thus finds it more difficult to find the correct response (compared to a contestant who doesn’t know as much about a certain topic).
