In memory of Alex Trebek, today is the first in two weeks of Alex’s favorite episodes from around the world.. Today’s episode featured a hockey category that was taped at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre with Tie Domi, then of the Toronto Maple Leafs (and father of current Columbus Blue Jackets player Max Domi.) Alex’s last episode airs Friday, January 8, 2021; Ken Jennings’ first episode as guest host airs on January 11.
Today’s contestants:
K.C. Backer, a graduate student from Bloomington, Indiana
Graham House, a musician from Lincoln, Nebraska
Ken Jennings, a software engineer from Salt Lake City, Utah (56-day total: $1,906,400)
PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to abide by physical distancing guidelines and when you are not able to do so, properly wear a mask. Ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Correct response: Who is Charles Lindbergh?
More information about Final Jeopardy: (The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2020 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)
Charles Lindbergh, who rose to international fame in 1927 for being the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, had become the foremost spokesperson in the United States for non-intervention in World War II by the early 1940s. Lindbergh’s viewpoints were also very pro-eugenics and very similar to those of the Nazis, to the point where many in America viewed him as a Nazi sympathizer. After Lindbergh publicly suggested that America negotiate a neutrality pact with Hitler, FDR declared Lindbergh to be a “defeatist and appeaser”, leading to Lindbergh resigning his commission.
This episode originally aired on Thursday, October 14, 2004. I’m not entirely sure why the New York Times Clue of the Day showed the Final Jeopardy! clue for Friday, October 15, 2004. I’m guessing there was some sort of human error there.
