Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Book Covers) for Monday, June 16, 2025 (Season 41, Game 201):

In 1974 Allison Maher Stern posed horizontally on stools & pretended to swim for a cover of this book

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Tom Thriveni on Jeopardy!

Katie Kornacki, a professor of English from Hartford, Connecticut (1-day total: $20,000)

Katie Kornacki on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

It’s time for a new week of play on Jeopardy!, as Katie Kornacki starts the week as your defending champion. She faces off against challengers Tom Thriveni and Sarah Cox, who isn’t returning to the show after 34.5 years—that’s Sara Cox, the Maine teacher who, in October 1990, became the second of four players to tie two separate regular play games.

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2025 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

Allison Maher Stern was the model who posed as the swimmer on the book cover (and later movie poster) of Peter Benchley’s Jaws, the 1974 book that turned into the smash hit summer blockbuster film of 1975.

As someone who very easily associates events to years, I found this to be a very straightforward Final Jeopardy clue. Others may differ.
