(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2024 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)
The Kit Kat Club, from the famous musical Cabaret, is said to have been inspired by Eldorado, a queer nightclub in Berlin during the Weimar Republic era. Its final location, at Motzstraße 15, was seized by the Nazis in early 1933 to use as the headquarters for the Sturmabteilung (better known as the Brownshirts). Due to the near-complete eradication of references to LGBTQ+ life in Germany by the Nazis, the club likely would have been forgotten today had it not been for the novels of Christopher Isherwood as well as Cabaret.

Jeopardy! Round:
(Categories: World History; Books & Arthurs; On The “D-E-L”; Complete The Rhyming Phrase; Advertising; Musical Nicknames)
Both challengers had a great start on the signaling device; Ian led as a result of him picking up $2,000 on the Daily Double. After 15 clues, Ian had $4,600 to Heather’s $3,600 and Will’s $1,000.
Statistics at the first break (15 clues):
Ian 5 correct 1 incorrect
Heather 8 correct 1 incorrect
Will 2 correct 0 incorrect
Today’s interviews:
Heather got to play hot dog-themed Jeopardy at a party this summer.
Ian has had bad luck as a wedding guest with teeth falling out.
Will has been trying to view every Bruegel the Elder painting.
Despite an incorrect response on the round’s final clue, Ian picked up seven correct to jump into a big lead after 30 clues.
Statistics after the Jeopardy round:

Heather 10 correct 2 incorrect
Will 5 correct 0 incorrect

Double Jeopardy! Round:
(Categories: Extreme Canada; Exclamations!; Mythological Resumes; Medical Matters; Caution; Compound Word Construction Zone)
Will got DD2 barely incorrect (but I believe the ruling was 100% proper), then Ian’s struggles on the Canada category were compounded by DD3 being there. Ian getting that clue incorrect gave both challengers a chance to pull themselves back into contention going into Final Jeopardy.
Statistics after Double Jeopardy:
Ian 24 correct 6 incorrect
Heather 14 correct 2 incorrect
Will 14 correct 2 incorrect
Total number of unplayed clues this season: 2 (0 today).
Scores going into Final:
Ian $17,400
Heather $9,800
Will $8,000
Heather got Final Jeopardy correct, putting the pressure on Ian. But a correct response from Ian gave him the title of Jeopardy champion; he’ll be back tomorrow to defend.
Tonight’s results:
Will $8,000 – $7,998 = $2 (What is Rick’s?)
Heather $9,800 + $9,800 = $19,600 (What is the Kit Kat Club)
Ian $17,400 + $2,201 = $19,601 (What is the Kit Kat Club?) (1-day total: $19,601)
