(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2025 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)
In Greek mythology, Argus (also known as Argos) was the many-eyed giant who served as a guardian to Io, a nymph. Due to his byname Panoptes, he was often depicted as having 100 eyes. Hera had assigned Argus to watch over Io in order to prevent her husband Zeus from visiting—after all, Zeus had his eyes on her. Zeus, however, had Hermes slay the multi-eyed giant—after all, Zeus always got what he wanted!
To me, this feels like a relatively straightforward ToC-level clue—one that is more difficult due to the expansion of the canon at this level as opposed to asking a more difficult thing about something that most viewers know.

Andy’s Thoughts:
- What’s airing tomorrow? The Tournament of Champions exhibition game between Adriana, Isaac, and Drew Basile.
- A reminder to viewers that in order to go from a correct response to an incorrect one, twice the value of the clue needs to be deducted from the contestant.
Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:
(Scores: Neilesh $13,600 Adriana $10,400 Isaac $7,800)
Adriana: You can’t both cover Neilesh and win a Triple Stumper. Your options here are $1,198 or less (if you think Isaac will bet small) or at least $5,201 (if you think Isaac will bet big.) (Actual bet: $6,000)
Isaac: If Neilesh and Adriana both make cover bets, you have the advantage on the Triple Stumper if you bet less than $1,400. However, if you don’t think Adriana will cover, you could also go all in. (Actual bet: $7,700)
Neilesh: Standard cover bet over Adriana is $7,201. (Actual bet: $7,201)
