The first two weeks were the 10 “Alex Around the World” episodes that ran in his memory in late December; the 2021 Tournament of Champions, hosted by Buzzy Cohen, will air from August 30 through September 10. Today’s episode was the fourth quarterfinal of the 2021 Tournament of Champions that originally aired on May 20, 2021.

The Mason-Dixon line was created to survey and mark the border between Maryland to the north (and east), whose land was granted to the Calverts (Lord Baltimore’s family), and what became Pennsylvania and Delaware. Pennsylvania was granted to William Penn; Penn was leased the land of the “Lower Counties of the Delaware” by King James II. While the Calverts had a competing claim to the area, the dispute was not resolved until nearly a century later when both sides agreed to the Mason-Dixon survey.
