Andy’s Pregame Thoughts: Josh has played very well over his first two games, and his opponents will need a very strong performance in order to dethrone him as champion. One thing that may work to their advantage: Josh seemed to bet too conservatively on his final Daily Double, and that led to him not quite having a runaway game after Double Jeopardy.

Held in February 1945, the Yalta Conference was a meeting held between Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Joseph Stalin in order to discuss the reorganization of Europe following World War II. One point that would cause future minor tensions was the lack of an invitation extended to France’s Charles de Gaulle. It was eventually decided that Germany and Berlin were to be partitioned into Allied Occupation Zones; the Soviet zone eventually became East Germany, whereas the American, British, and French zones became West Germany. One other major sticking point is that Stalin reneged on his promise made at Yalta to allow free elections in Poland; most of Eastern Europe became Russian satellite states following the war.
