One thing that I do wish for is for some sort of resolution to the ongoing court proceedings between Sony and CBS regarding distribution, as this battle is clearly holding up any sort of next-day streaming agreement for Jeopardy!; I’d certainly like to see an expanded postseason in 2026, especially due to all of the strong players we’ve had in 2025, and extra games on this streaming service may be a good solution to make all fans happy here.
Finally, Jeopardy! Masters resumes tonight with the last of our quarterfinal episodes—you can watch on ABC and CTV at 9:00 (8:00 Eastern) and on CTV2 one hour later.

Dred Scott, plaintiff in one of the most famous cases in American history (Dred Scott v. Sandford), where the Supreme Court held that the U.S. Constitution did not extend citizenship to Black Americans and therefore could not enjoy the rights of citizens, which directly led to the Civil War four years later, had been attempting to gain freedom for a decade via the courts. His initial suit came in 1847, where he sued Irene Emerson for freedom unsuccessfully, as the courts seemingly ruled that Scott must remain Emerson’s slave as he had been unable to prove that he was previously Emerson’s slave. (America sure has wanted to entrench its racism using any excuse possible.)
This should be a relatively straightforward Final Jeopardy for anyone who remembers 1857 in their American history classes.
