Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Blockbuster Movies) for Wednesday, January 6, 2021 (Season 37, Game 73):
Released in 2017, this movie is the highest-grossing film in the U.S. that’s set during World War I
(correct response beneath the contestants)
We may have lost Alex, but the show must go on. Alex wouldn’t want it any other way. Please, let’s remember him over this final week of banked episodes, and then afford him the same respect to his successors that we afforded Alex when he replaced Art Fleming in 1984. Alex’s last episode airs Friday, January 8, 2021; Ken Jennings’ first episode as guest host airs on January 11. Please also remember that no permanent replacement has been named as of yet and that we will be seeing multiple guest hosts before the end of the season.
Today’s contestants:
Yoshie Hill, an executive assistant from Colma, California
Jared Blum, an anesthesiologist from Bellingham, Washington
Manisha Munshi, an attorney from San Francisco, California (1-day total: $7,100)
PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to abide by physical distancing guidelines and when you are not able to do so, properly wear a mask. Ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Correct response: What is Wonder Woman?
More information about Final Jeopardy: (The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2020 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)
2017’s Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, was a Summer 2017 blockbuster film that grossed over $800 million worldwide, over $400 million in North America, and was the third-highest-grossing film overall in 2017. The premise of the film was that World War I was started by Ares, the longtime enemy of the Amazons, after American pilot (and spy) Steve Trevor crash-lands on the Amazon island of Themyscira and informs them of the war. A sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, was released in December 2020.
Because of the fascist coup currently being attempted on the United States right now, there is a very good chance of Jeopardy! being pre-empted in your area tonight. So much for a peaceful transition of power. If you have been in my comments section supporting the inciters of this coup: Shame on you.
