Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Art Exhibitions) for Wednesday, March 15, 2023 (Season 39, Game 133):
In 1898 what’s been called the first blockbuster art show was devoted to him & put on for Queen Wilhelmina’s coronation
(correct response beneath the contestants)
Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:
Govind Dandekar, a solutions architect from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Gwen Lockman, a Ph.D candidate from Missoula, Montana
Stephen Webb, a data scientist from Longmont, Colorado (6-day total: $155,281)
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Stephen Webb is now a 6-day champion, with winnings over $150,000, after his second victory in a row in which he did not find a Daily Double! Stephen is definitely consistent, though, but will a challenger be able to put everything together and defeat him? Gwen and Govind certainly hope so!
PSA: The best way to keep COVID-19 at bay (and keep Jeopardy! producing new episodes) is for everybody to get their vaccinations as soon as they can, including any boosters as recommended. When wearing a mask, please ensure that your mask covers both your nose and your mouth.

Known as the “Rembrandt tentoonstelling” and held at Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum, it showcased over 100 paintings and over 350 drawings of Rembrandt. Even The Nightwatch was transported across the Museumplein from the Rijksmuseum. According to Hofstede de Groot, “The Dutch could have paid no nobler homage to their young Queen and her coronation, than by bringing together a collection of the masterpieces of the greatest painter to whom Holland has given birth.”
