Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

This week’s third quarterfinal of Celebrity Jeopardy! features sports commentator Katie Nolan, daytime talk show host Sherri Shepherd, and actor Christopher Meloni (best known for Law & Order: SVU). Interestingly, Christopher has Celebrity Jeopardy experience, having won a game in 2006 and also appearing in 2009. I would say that experience alone makes Christopher the favorite in this one to advance, but as Andy Richter and Simu Liu showed last season, absolutely anything can happen, especially with six Daily Doubles on the board!

5 Comments on "Celebrity Jeopardy! Game Recap – Wednesday, October 11, 2023"

  1. Can’t say I remember the last time my heart was pounding over Jeopardy! I’m glad Katie won, but jeez, I don’t think I’m gonna be able to calm down for quite a while!

  2. DodgerPacker | October 12, 2023 at 12:16 am |

How often have they re-written and re-recorded the reading of a clue after taping? They must have done that for the Dianne Feinstein clue.

    • I don’t think we have a definitive number on this—though, in this case, J! was fortunate that the WGA strike ended, as otherwise they would have been unable to.

  3. What a crazy fun game this was. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed and been on the edge of my seat that much in a single game of jeopardy before

I thought the Tie Breaker answer was somewhat harder than the Final Jeopardy answer, though both were at least relatively easy. I think that Chris Meoloni (now of Law & Order; Organized Crime,) also had the correct response to the Tie Breaker answer, but wasn’t quick enough on his singaling device.
I’m sure that those that remeber their Americaan History would know “Remember the Alamo,” and, those that have heard of some New Orleans geography, and, or, French history, would know Bourbon (line of French Kings, the street in New Orleans.)
