Warning: This page may contain spoilers for the January 4, 2024 game of Jeopardy! UK, especially for those of you watching delayed or on-demand. This page will be updated during each commercial break as the show airs.

Today’s contestants:

Keshava Guha, a writer from London
Keshava Guha on Jeopardy UK
Ruth Gibbons, a finance manager from Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Ruth Gibbons on Jeopardy UK
Miles Searle, a student from Wimbledon (2-day total: £11,525)
Miles Searle on Jeopardy! UK

Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:

We’re three episodes in, and we have our first multi-day champion in Miles Searle, an 18-year-old student from Wimbledon. He’s also gone into five figures after just two episodes—I think most of us were expecting it to take more wins than just two for use to get to that point!

Today’s challengers are a pair of OQL Division 4 denizens in West Yorkshire’s Ruth Gibbons and London’s Kesheva Guha. Both Ruth and Kesheva are excellent quizzers, and I know my own teammates on Encyclopaedia Britannican’t were very excited to hear that Ruth, whose team “Miners 5” has played against Britannican’t many times, would be on the show today!

One thing that I’ve found very interesting is that anyone I personally have spoken to regarding this version of the show is that they’ve found Stephen Fry to be absolutely delightful, which is leading me to believe that any dissent online is a small yet vocal minority whose voice is being unduly amplified by the British tabloid media.

Another reminder that I have started a Sunday mailbag column where I answer fan & viewer questions regarding the show. If you have a question, feel free to send it to mailbag@thejeopardyfan.com!

More information about Final Jeopardy:

Palladian architecture is named after the famed Italian architect Andrea Palladio; the style was very popular in England in the early 17th century and also made its way Stateside in the designs of the White House and Monticello. (Thomas Jefferson was a big fan of the style.)

  1. That was a crazy back and forth game. Having 4 daily doubles as opposed to 3 in a game makes all the difference. Obviously celebrity jeopardy shows how much a game can change with extra daily doubles in play.
