Our final quarterfinal features Twisted Misters, Equizabeth Moss, and Married With A Third Wheel. All three of these teams had strong opening round matches, picking up more than 20 correct responses. I am expecting an exciting quarterfinal in this one.

Things got very exciting in Double Jeopardy, when Twisted Misters found both Daily Doubles. They bet 6,000 twice, giving just one correct response, though. This meant that Equizbeth Moss, who picked up 11 correct responses in the round, led going into Final Jeopardy.
Statistics after Double Jeopardy:
Equizbeth Moss 19 correct 2 incorrect
Twisted Misters 24 correct 7 incorrect
Married With A Third Wheel 13 correct 3 incorrect
Scores going into Final:
Equizbeth Moss 16,800
Twisted Misters 13,200
Married With A Third Wheel 6,800
All three players got Final Jeopardy correct, and Equizabeth Moss advances despite a small wager in Final Jeopardy.
Tonight’s results:
Married With A Third Wheel 6,800 + 6,800 = 13,600 (Who is Mr. Rogers?)
Twisted Misters 13,200 + 3,700 = 16,900 (Who is Mister Rogers?)
Equizbeth Moss 16,800 + 3,401 = 20,201 (Who is Mr. Rogers) (Semi-Finalist)

Andy’s Thoughts:
- It appears as though there was some sort of strategy behind Equizabeth Moss’s bet, being that they added an extra dollar to whatever they chose—but that line of strategic thinking has somehow managed to elude my thinking, even as someone who has studied this subject for more than twenty years.
- Nevertheless, with this group’s semifinal next week containing a pair of teams whose Final Jeopardy strategy appears to be “pick a random number and pray”, I reckon that things are going to get very interesting.
- Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.
Final Jeopardy! wagering suggestions:
(Scores: Equizbeth Moss 16,800 Twisted Misters 13,200 Married With A Third Wheel 6,800)
Twisted Misters: Bet 401 to cover Married With A Third Wheel. (Actual bet: 3,700)
Equizbeth Moss: Standard cover bet over Twisted Misters is 9,601. (Actual bet: 3,401)
Married With A Third Wheel: If Equizabeth Moss covers and is incorrect, they fall to 7,199. Therefore, you should go all in. (Actual bet: 6,800)

I was amused by Andy’s thought about the semifinal next week containing a pair of teams whose Final Jeopardy strategy appears to be “pick a random number and pray”. I wonder if there is a possibility that the three team members don’t agree on the right amount to wager and they average their three choices. [That would not seem to be a good method as the “result” would have no reasoning behind it, whereas each original opinion presumably did, whether correct or not.]
Also, perhaps Equizabeth Moss’s extra dollar in each bet is either a matter of them knowing there are many times when that is a good idea, but they cannot figure out when that is, especially considering the time it would take to decide between the three of them. Or maybe they think it might [hopefully] mess with their opponents’ math.
And the 9 teams advancing to the semifinals are the following:
1. Quarterfinal 2: Personality Hires: 37,601
2. Quarterfinal 4: O’Trivia Rodrigo: 36,801
3. Quarterfinal 6: Mission: Impopsicle: 36,600
4. Quarterfinal 5: Buggsy Mogues: 34,401
5. Quarterfinal 1: South Shore Squad: 33,599
6. Quarterfinal 9: Equizabeth Moss: 20,201
7. Quarterfinal 8: Three Almost Dads: 19,397
8. Quarterfinal 3: Game Night Rules!: 18,400
9. Quarterfinal 7: Queerly Benevolent: 5,700
