Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:

Today’s Celebrity Jeopardy! quarterfinal is being contested between Sean Gunn (Kirk on Gilmore Girls and Kraglin Obfonteri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), D’Arcy Carden (Janet on The Good Place), and comedian Sherry Cola.

None of our players in this game have past experience on the show, but I am reasonably sure that one of D’Arcy’s interview segments is going to be about the clue about her that Amy Schneider got correct back in 2021.

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • The fact that r/Jeopardy took until the episode’s completion in order to put up a game thread for this episode is incredibly negligent behavior of the moderators, in my opinion. It leaves me to wonder if they are actually Jeopardy! fans at this point—and their actions lead me to believe that they aren’t.
  • Thanks to Stefan Goodreau for this find: D’Arcy’s uncle who was on the show was 2009 contestant Steve Engelfried.
  • Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.

3 Comments on "Celebrity Jeopardy! Game Recap – Wednesday, March 5, 2025"

  1. D’Arcy mentioning the personalized Jeopardy! game that was made for her grandmother, with life accomplishments and facts, sounds like a great idea that I will be stealing.

  2. I like Sean Gunn, but he just seemed lucky in this episode [due to the categories and the “draw” of fellow contestants].

  3. I guess I’ll also say that I was certain that the FJ! clue was referring to purple. I did not recall the snail fact, but I actually did remember that I HAD heard before what purple was made from. Also, I knew that royal robes were purple because the color was so rare and expensive and that that dated back to ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome (long before French and English royalty), so them being in the Mediterranean area made me more certain it was purple.
