Warning: This page contains spoilers for the April 8, 2025, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Honors) for Tuesday, April 8, 2025 (Season 41, Game 152):

Burt Lancaster & Joanne Woodward were among the first 8 honored at a 1958 ceremony held on this street

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Anise K. Strong-Morse, a history professor from Kalamazoo, Michigan
Anise K. Strong-Morse on Jeopardy!
Joe Lancour, a quality & export compliance manager from Agawam, Massachusetts
Joe Lancour on Jeopardy!
Mike Dawson, a technology manager from Portland, Oregon (2-day total: $35,600)
Mike Dawson on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Mike Dawson is now a 2-day Jeopardy! champion; today, he faces off against Kalamazoo, Michigan’s Anise K. Strong-Morse and Agawam, Massachusetts’s Joe Lancour.

The air dates for Season 3 of Jeopardy! Masters were released yesterday by Jeopardy!; it will be airing between April 30 and June 4, with the 9 games airing on those six Wednesdays, as well as on Tuesdays between May 20 and June 3; all episodes will be on at the same time slot as Celebrity this season, that being 9:00 PM Eastern. I am still skeptical that the 9:00 PM time slot is good for Jeopardy; I still believe that, considering the show’s audience, that an earlier time slot would bring in more viewers. To me, people are simply more tired once 9:00 comes around in order to interact with Jeopardy the way they would like.

In 1953, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and its leader E.M. Stuart proposed a Walk of Fame, with stars embedded in the sidewalks, though it took much of the 1950s to get around the bureaucratic hurdles. Of the initial 1,558 stars selected, eight were chosen at random to be placed on Hollywood Boulevard at Highland Avenue as a “proof of concept”: Olive Borden, Ronald Colman, Louise Fazenda, Preston Foster, Burt Lancaster, Edward Sedgwick, Ernest Torrence, and Joanne Woodward.

Since the Walk’s initial completion in 1961, stars have continued to be added; today, 24 ceremonies a year occur. Tourists flock to take pictures of the stars of their favorites; certainly, many Jeopardy! fans will have taken a picture of Alex Trebek’s star on the Walk of Fame at 6501 Hollywood Boulevard.

Jeopardy! Round:

(Categories: Talk O’ Tuesday; Beginning Words; Waterfalls; Back In The Saddle Again; Chapter; Verse)

For the second day in a row, a fun coincidence: a correct response to a Daily Double Stateside was also a correct response in the same day’s UK game. Unfortunately, Joe did not get the Daily Double correct, but recovered to second place after 15 clues. After 15 clues, the scores were Mike $4,200 Joe $2,000 Anise -$2,000.

Today’s interviews:

Anise had her jeans chewed on by a goat while on a bus in Nepal.
Joe taught English in South Korea.
Mike was a college DJ while a student at the University of Idaho.

Joe picked up a half-dozen correct responses, but they were mostly at the top of the board. Mike still led after 30 clues.

Joe 18 correct 7 incorrect
Total number of unplayed clues this season: 30 (0 today).

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • Mike is 49.38% to qualify for the Tournament of Champions and 96.94% to qualify for Champions Wildcard.
  • It seems as though there was some sort of technical issue with the audio on Clue #28 of the Jeopardy! Round; no audio was present when Ken called upon Joe to respond.
  • Today’s runaway game means that no wagering suggestions will be posted.
  • Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.

  1. seemed too obvious. and then I thought about the corner of Hollywood and Vine and thought, could it be Vine…..so…yeah, I don’t know what my answer would have been when time ran out.

  2. I was just reading an article on Billie Jean King finally getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for sports celebrities. So my response within 5 second was Hollywood Blvd!!! And this in 2025!!! Great timing…

  3. If one understood the answer clue, this was a straight forward Final Jeopardy. I did. Hollywood stars being honored at this LOCATION? What else could it be but the “Hollywood Walk of Fame, on Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, Ca.

  4. Robert J. Fawkes | April 8, 2025 at 6:48 pm |

Hollywood Legends equals Hollywood Boulevard. No surprise that this was a Triple Get. One of the easier finals to keep everyone honest that Andy sometimes refers to.
