Today’s contestants:
Faisal Rahim, an insights manager from Ealing![]() |
Katie Stoyle, a brand executive from Northwest London![]() |
Dan Afshar, an events manager from Kingston upon Thames (3-day total: £9,400)![]() |
Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:
Yesterday’s game saw Dan Afshar given an excellent run by Kit Chapman before Dan put the game away with a late True Daily Double. Today, he faces off against Katie Stoyle of Northwest London and Faisal Rahim of Ealing. At least I hope I have everything spelled correctly—yesterday’s episode on ITVX lacked subtitles, which I am surprised is not an Ofcom violation of some fashion.
I would also say that the chances of there being an April Fools gag in today’s episode being somewhat slim, as these episodes were produced with there being no way of knowing that the episode will air today.
I should also note once again that there will not be an episode on Thursday or Friday of this week due to ITV’s coverage of the Grand National Festival.

Congratulations again Dan, bad luck Katie and Faisal. I hope I didn’t jinx Faisal yesterday by advocating for True Daily Doubles!
I got Final today; oddly I recalled that Roald Dahl had written the screenplay for You Only Live Twice and it followed from that.
Many thanks to all involved with the preparation and distribution of the Haggadah supplement. It’s really interesting, and educational to someone like me who isn’t yet as well informed as they ought to be.
