This game’s Jeopardy! Masters contestants:
Isaac Hirsch, a customer support team lead from Burbank, California (12-8, 3 points)![]() |
Roger Craig, an applied scientist from Arlington, Virginia (15-8, 4 points)![]() |
Juveria Zaheer, a psychiatrist from Whitby, Ontario, Canada (8-6, 4 points)![]() |
Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:
Today’s second game is between Juveria Zaheer, Roger Craig, and Isaac Hirsch. Juveria has the third-highest Coryat overall in the competition, but one fewer second-place finish has her 1 point behind Matt Amodio going into “Match Day 5”. She’s also an underdog to Roger in this match, per UPM, with UPM giving Roger a 38.3% chance of victory, Juveria a 34.3% chance, and Isaac a 27.3% chance of victory tonight. Juveria will also very likely need to do something that she’s failed to do in a number of previous attempts in order to advance to the semis: head-to-head, she’s 0-4 against Matt Amodio and 0-3 against Roger Craig. So, from a strict head-to-head perspective, Roger and Matt are in the driver’s seat when it comes to taking the last two of the spots in the semifinals. Isaac, in sixth, has struggled to keep pace the last couple of games—but things can turn around quickly.

Felt bad that Roger had the correct answer but ran out of time but then saw that his small bet made the answer irrelevant – he would’ve still been in third.
Yep, he played for the Triple Stumper from the lead! Knowing how hard some of these FJ’s have been in this tournament, this is an interesting strategy!
