Andy’s Pre-Game Thoughts:
Our final quarterfinal in this season of Celebrity Jeopardy! All-Stars features Mo Rocca, Mira Sorvino, and Ray Romano, with our winner facing off against Ike Barinholtz and Patton Oswalt in one of our semifinals. While both Mira and Mo have won on the Alex Trebek Stage before, Mo Rocca is certainly the favorite to advance—in fact, Mo is 11-for-11 lifetime in getting Daily Doubles correct. If he does make it through, I can not wait to see the fireworks that will ensue in a game with Mo, Ike, and Patton.
The competition as a whole ends next week; semifinals will be airing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the final taking place next Friday.

It’s been pointed out before that the “clue-writing” department and the “contestant-picking” department are completely separate, and don’t consult each other. So sometimes a contestant who’s a doctor will luck out and get a “medical” category, for instance. Mira Sorvino getting a clue that referenced “Mighty Aphrodite” is perhaps not too bad, but when that final came up, I thought “Wow, it’s a good thing Neil didn’t do well enough to come back as an All-Star, that would’ve been awkward…”
Neil had 29 correct, 0 unforced errors, and (with $16,600) the second highest non-winning Coryat across all of Season 3. (Only Sean Gunn, who lost his semifinal despite a Coryat of $17,400, beats out Neil in that regard.) As a matter of fact, his numbers were the best in his episode, in… pretty much every way.
Honestly, disregarding not selecting him for this game, I’m shocked he wasn’t brought back at all!
