Today’s Final Jeopardy – Friday, July 10, 2026

Warning: This page contains spoilers for the July 10, 2026, game of Jeopardy! — please do not scroll down if you wish to avoid being spoiled. Please note that the game airs as early as noon Eastern in some U.S. television markets.

Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Tributes) for Friday, July 10, 2026 (Season 42, Game 220):

To her 1910 funeral, “The survivors of the Balaclava Light Brigade charge” sent an arrangement “to our benefactress & friend”

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Chris Bergman, a novelist & volunteer mentor from Cape Coral, Florida
Chris Bergman on Jeopardy!
Kristal LeMaistre, an internal communications supervisor originally from Round Rock, Texas
Kristal LeMaistre on Jeopardy!
Caleb Groen, a law & policy student originally from Thousand Oaks, California (6-day total: $163,200)
Caleb Groen on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

As we come to the conclusion of Week #44 of 46 of Season 42 of Jeopardy!, we have a 6-day champion occupying the champion’s lectern in Caleb Groen, who picked up a season high yesterday with a score of $60,000. Today, he faces off against Kristal LeMastre and Chris Bergman.

As things stand right now, Caleb isn’t quite the favorite to win the Tournament of Champions; he’d at least need to get to the 12-13 win mark at the very least to earn that status. (Essentially, Jamie Ding is going to be considered the favorite at this point, simply by virtue of the top 3 seeds receiving byes through to the semifinals.)

In other Jeopardy! news, ESPN Jeopardy! hosted by Joe Buck will be debuting on Hulu, Disney+, and the ESPN app on July 31. (It’s not as if I was considering a vacation around that time or anything.)

Correct response: Who is Florence Nightingale?

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

As The Guardian wrote in its 1910 obituary for Florence Nightingale:

The cleansing and adaptation of the hospital, the establishment of a laundry and of sick-diet kitchens, the supply of food and all kinds of necessaries, and the organisation of a regular system of nursing and a staff of nurses, for many had to be dismissed as incompetent – all this was planned and carried through under the terrible pressure of a constant race with death.

Nightingale was credited with saving many members of the British army in the Crimean War with her care, and the survivors repaid the favor to her with a floral arrangement of white flowers with a letter “B” in blue flowers in the middle to her 1910 funeral. (This was among many of the arrangements sent to her funeral.)

This felt relatively straightforward to me; we’ll see how it plays in general.

Game Recap:

Once again, Caleb Groen came alive in Double Jeopardy, picking up 15 correct in the round, $12,000 on the Daily Doubles, cruising to a runaway as his opponents needed to take riskier guesses in an attempt to keep pace.

Caleb finished up the week by picking up $10,000 in Final Jeopardy, getting himself over the $200,000 mark through 7 games. He’ll go for win #8 on Monday.

Scores going into Final:

Kristal $800

Tonight’s results:
