Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Around The World) for Friday, April 10, 2026 (Season 42, Game 155):

A river named for the sacred lotus flower flows toward this 839,000-square-mile body of water

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Xaque Williams, a writer from Knoxville, Tennessee

Xaque Williams on Jeopardy!

Kathi Fitzgerald, an English teacher from Williamsburg, Virginia

Kathi Fitzgerald on Jeopardy!

Jamie Ding, a bureaucrat & law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey (20-day total: $572,600)

Jamie Ding on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Yesterday, Jamie Ding became only the 8th player to win at least 20 games in a row on Jeopardy!; today, he hopes to get win #21, tying fellow New Jerseyan Cris Pannullo for #6 in that list, while Xaque Williams from Tennessee and Kathi Fitzgerald from Virginia try to stop him.

What other marks is Jamie playing for today?

  • Jamie is $51,012 away from Matt Jackson for #13 in all-time winnings, including tournaments and consolation prizes;
  • Jamie is 12 correct responses away from Mattea Roach and 15 correct responses away from Cris Pannullo for 6th and 5th, respectively, in terms of correct responses in regular play;

  • Jamie (649) is currently #12 in terms of all-time correct responses (including tournaments); he is 4 behind #11 Andrew He (653), 27 behind #10 Victoria Groce (676), 37 behind #9 Cris Pannullo (686), and 39 behind #8 Roger Craig (688).

It should also be noted that the return of Artemis II to Earth this evening will cause some interruptions in the schedule; if you watch on an ABC affiliate at 7:30, the show will be pre-empted; check your local station for information as to when the episode will be played. Failing that, the show’s official stance is that one should use Hulu or Peacock beginning the next day to catch up. (Crave TV in Canada). Artemis II’s return has also caused the delay of this week’s Celebrity Jeopardy quarterfinal between Timothy Simons, Andy Richter, and Mina Kimes; that episode will now air next Friday (April 17).

Correct response: What is the Bay of Bengal?

More information about Final Jeopardy:

(The following write-up is original content and is copyright 2026 The Jeopardy! Fan. It may not be copied without linked attribution back to this page.)

The river mentioned in this clue is the Padma River, which flows for over 200 miles through Bangladesh as one of the main distributaries of the Ganges before meeting with the Meghna en route to the Ganges Delta and the Bay of Bengal, located between the Indian subcontinent and the Indochinese peninsula. “Padma” is the Sanskrit word for lotus flower, giving the river its name.

This feels like a straightforward “What else could it be?” question, as “lotus flower” should ideally point contestants towards the Indian subcontinent. We shall see how it plays.

Game Recap:

Jamie Ding found all three Daily Doubles, but he didn’t get all of them correct; his score was deflated by both that Daily Double miss and a pair of high-value incorrect resposnes in Double Jeopardy. That didn’t keep him from a runaway, although his lead wasn’t quite as big as some of his other games.

Final Jeopardy saw Jamie pick up another correct response as he is now a 21-day champion, with winnings over $600,000. He goes for win #22 on Monday.

Scores going into Final:

Jamie $26,800
Xaque $8,200
Kathi $200

Tonight’s results:

Kathi $200 – $0 = $200 (What is the Indian Ocean?)
Xaque $8,200 + $7,000 = $15,200 (What is Bay of Bengal)
Jamie $26,800 + $9,600 = $36,400 (What is the Bay of Bengal?) (21-day total: $609,000)

Jamie Ding, today's Jeopardy! winner (for the April 10, 2026 game.)

Game Stats:

Jamie $28,000 Coryat, 35 correct, 3 incorrect, 54.39% in first on buzzer (31/57), 3/4 on rebound attempts (on 6 rebound opportunities)
Xaque $8,200 Coryat, 16 correct, 3 incorrect, 31.58% in first on buzzer (18/57), 1/1 on rebound attempts (on 3 rebound opportunities)
