Correct response: What is a Rubik’s Cube?
More information about Final Jeopardy:
While the Rubik’s Cube didn’t become popular until the early 1980s, Ernő Rubik invented his eponymous Cube in 1974 while he was working at the Department of Interior Design at the Academy of Applied Arts and Crafts in Budapest. Rubik was also attempting to solve a problem of moving the parts of the cube independently (without the entire cube falling apart; he didn’t realize his invention doubled as a puzzle until he scrambled it one day and attempted to unscramble it.
While I personally here at The Jeopardy! Fan have never really gotten into the Rubik’s Cube craze, there was a resurgence in the 21st century of the toy after the original fad of the early 1980s subsided.
Since Alex Trebek’s diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer, many community members have been raising money. The Jeopardy! Fan Online Store is as well! All proceeds from any “Keep The Faith And We’ll Win” shirt sold will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. To date, over $370 has been raised.)
In order to redesign our merchandise area to serve you better in 2026, all merchandise sales have been temporarily taken offline. Look for a return in late 2026! All previous orders will still be supported.

Andy’s Thoughts:
- This was the first game since June 12 that the players went 0-for-3 on Daily Doubles.
- At $418,343, Jason moves to #5 in the regular-play winnings list (passing Austin Rogers and Matt Jackson; #4 is Jula Collins at $428,100) and #14 on the winnings list including tournaments. (#13 is Alex Jacob at $424,802)
- At 436, Jason is now tied for 7th with Roger Craig on the list of most correct responses given on the show.
- Jason was only in first on the buzzer 6 times during Double Jeopardy; I really get the sense that he’s tiring.
