Yogesh Raut in Jeopardy! Masters Season 2
Victoria Groce, a writer & television personality from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (3 points)

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

The “nightcap” in tonight’s episode features a battle between the two newcomers—Victoria Groce and Yogesh Raut—and Amy Schneider. I’m expecting this to be a Victoria-Yogesh battle; I think Amy will be lucky to leave this with a single point.

Andy’s Thoughts:

  • I was okay with Amy’s first two times going back to World Cities—it’s advanced strategy when that far behind to try to build up your score first. I didn’t like the third one, though.
  • Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.

  1. If both are playing at full strength, the James/Victoria duel on Wednesday has the potential to be the greatest duel in the history of the show. I envy whoever has to be put up against that!

  2. Bill Vollmer | May 6, 2024 at 9:12 pm |

Through four games, it appears the Chasers, James, and, Victoria are going to be dominating the leaderboard, the race is for third place.
As for this games Final Jeopardy, I know of TS Elliot, but not those details of his life.
This was the type of material I’d expect the best of the best to be dealing with.

    • Let’s not disrespect Yogesh and the others in this tournament. I’m honestly shocked such a post got approved

      • With all due respect, I don’t think Bill’s statement was at all disrespectful here, though I might contend that Yogesh should be in the conversation.

      • Bill Vollmer | May 7, 2024 at 3:34 pm |

I used the modifier “appear, ” meaning as things looked after James’ domination in game 3, and, Victoria’s through her two games. But, Andy’s point should be well taken. Yogesh, like James, has a 1st and, a second, though I don’t recall his win as being as dominating as James’ or Victoria’s. Yogesh didn’t win the T of C by luck, he obviously must have broad knowledge, and, good game skills. Presumably, one of Wednesday’s games will be between the top three, and, we’ll see how the Chaserd fair against each other, and, Yogesh.

    • I certainly rule anyone out just yet. Even Amy can turn this all around with 4 wins. Yogesh and Victoria scare me with their buzzing speed and have all the tools to dethrone James as well as who and when daily doubles are found

  3. The two “Chasers”, James and Victoria squaring off, should be epic. (Regarding Victoria’s daughter, that one dormitory rule must be the “lobster clause.”)

  4. I have to at least wonder if Victoria was sandbagging on that final.

  5. Mattea gets the draw into the second half of Episode 3 against Victoria and James.

Still no favors for Amy, having to take on Yogesh & Matt int he first half.

  6. Didn’t get that FJ right either. 🤣

  7. Despite Eliot being on St Louis’ walk of fame less than two miles from my home, I missed this one. https://stlouiswalkoffame.org/inductee/t-s-eliot/
