Here’s today’s Final Jeopardy (in the category Around The World) for Wednesday, April 9, 2025 (Season 41, Game 153):

An online article about this landmark said, “The stones themselves look like they are crying” & mentioned “tears of…pain, hope & joy”

(correct response beneath the contestants)

Today’s Jeopardy! contestants:

Andrew Hayes, a law student originally from Tupelo, Mississippi

Andrew Hayes on Jeopardy!

Courtney Martin, a public defender originally from Cedarburg, Wisconsin

Courtney Martin on Jeopardy!

Mike Dawson, a technology manager from Portland, Oregon (3-day total: $57,000)

Mike Dawson on Jeopardy!

Andy’s Pregame Thoughts:

Mike Dawson of Portland has three wins under his belt and hopes to get win #4 today against a pair of legally inclined challengers: Wisconsin’s Courtney Martin (a public defender) and Mississippi’s Andrew Hayes (a law student). What makes this an intriguing matchup today is that if Mike lost today, he would pretty much be on the bubble for the Tournament of Champions; a fourth win would be crucial to move him off the projected cut line.

Also, tonight’s Celebrity Jeopardy! matchup, airing at 9:00 (8:00 Central) on ABC and CTV2, features Robin Thede, Natalie Morales, and Roy Wood Jr.; I think that is an intriguing matchup that could go in any direction.

The article describing Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall, or the Western Wall, from today’s clue can be found at Chabad.org. It is an ancient retaining wall of the Temple Mount of Jerusalem, and one of the holiest sites in Judaism.

I’d say that this is a relatively topical Final Jeopardy clue, being that we are entering Passover season. (This is also a reminder that a number of show alumni put together a Jeopardy!-style Haggadah supplement many years ago for the Passover Seder.)
