- For those who aren’t watching all of the spinoffs: second and third are generally going to be paying out the same amount going forward in tournament finals, likely as a direct result of a team not playing to win in the Pop Culture Jeopardy final.
- Today’s box score will be linked to when posted by the show.

I’m so excited Kamau won. I’ve been a fan of his for a long time, and I had the pleasure (and privilege!) of talking with him after his semifinal game aired. You can catch the conversation here: https://bit.ly/Kamau_Robin_Jeopardy
That definitely one of the greatest finales. I never watched it again after that first time – maybe I’m afraid it wouldn’t hold up to how good I remembered it.
I’ve seen the end (though not the full last episode) at least a couple of times within retrospective-type TV specials and, for me, it only gets better with age. [I think partially from nostalgia and partly just because of not watching the reruns (as there is SO MUCH else available to see) so it’s fun to see them again at their best.]
For the “Lord of the Dance Dance Revolution” clue on the Before and After category, would you expect them to have accepted “Riverdance Dance Revolution”? Both of them end with “Dance”, and both at one time started Michael Flatley. Riverdance was the first one to come to my kind, although I did think of Lord of the Dance pretty quickly, too.
LOL, I so closely associate them that already I cannot remember which I said!
Technically Norman Lear IS “a comedy legend”, but that term is typically applied to stand-up comedians or comedic actors [especially to those who are both like Jerry Seinfeld], not to writers no matter how great they are. Also, Lear had a lot of great shows, but I don’t think any were known for a particularly great finale. Hopefully Robin was just trying to come up with ANY possibility because she didn’t know (rather than actually thinking Lear was correct). Anyone can just not put two and two together in the moment, but if she has not actually seen the two Bob Newhart series, she is really missing something if she doesn’t binge them soon (or at least all the episodes which are rated in IMDb above the average rating for the whole series).
I didn’t remember that the comedy legend with “The Buttoned Down Mind” departed this life last year, but from somewhere I remembered that Mrs. Newhart was named Ginny. With that I remembered the “dream” scene from Newhart, which of course lead me to Bob Newhart.
